A good friend of mine is supposed to be an October 2012 Mom. When she had her 1st, the doctors induced her, so she went from 0 - crazy contraction in no time. She never felt those "we're getting close" contractions. She called me a few hours ago telling me that it felt like she had "period cramps". I asked her how often they were happening and if her belly was tight, and she told me "45 minutes without letting up at all" and yes her belly wouldn't untighten (if that's even a word). I told her to go to her doctor. She told me that she would call first. So, she called and they told her to drink 3 large glasses of water in an hour and to let them know how she was doing. Well, She is now on her way to L&D. Please keep her in your T&P tonight!
Re: T & P please
I think Terri Doula was having contractions like this after her car accident... not sure what ended up happening, but pretty sure her baby is still cooking!
warm wishes to your friend that everything is okay!
My period-like cramps didn't start until recently, but since my wreck I have an "irritable uterus."
For me that means anytime I'm standing/walking/anything, my uterus contracts and stays that way til I sit down and relax again. My doctor wants me to limit it to 20 minutes max and avoid anything that makes it painful (chores, picking up DS - ha, bending over, etc).
I dunno if that info helps at all, but there ya go! GL to your friend.
True story! I had a kidney infection back in May and my only symptoms were increased BH and increased back pain.
It is. OP said her friends uterus was contracted for 45 mins straight without letting up, that is not normal, especially if water/ resting can't get it to un-contract (is that even a word?) Idk
