When did you first go out to eat at restaurant with your twins?

I have almost 4 month old twin girls. We have not been out to a restaurant with them yet, mainly drive thru's only. Wondered when others started to venture out with them to a place like Chili's or Applebee's?

I think our guys were about 4 months- the thing I have found is to pick family friendly places, not during nap time, and not during the resturant's busy time. It makes things less stressful. The boys like Steak N Shake and Olive Garden lol.

I think mine were 4 or 5 months when I took them to an AL GTG by myself at a restaurant. After that, I started going with DH or my dad or mom.

we started taking them out when they were pretty little because they would just sleep in their carseats the whole time. now it's a little trickier since they get bored pretty quickly...we have to make sure to have a steady stream of puffs for them!

I haven't had mine yet, so I obviously can't speak from experience, but I remember someone asking this a few months ago and the one suggestion that stuck with me was to ask for the check and some to-go boxes when the waiter brings your food. That way you can pack up and go quickly if all heck breaks loose and you have to make a speedy getaway! Good luck!

I feel like 6 weeks to 4 months was the sweet spot. They'd sleep in their bucket seats the whole time. Now we've had to leave two different places in a hurry, or have one of us holding our fussy girl outside the whole time and then switching.

Maybe three weeks? It was easy at the beginning because they just slept. We've never really stopped going out, but now it's only for lunch so we don't mess up baby bedtime. They do really well. We just have to leave a huge tip now because two toddlers can make quite a mess!

We went early as well - maybe 4-5 weeks - for BIL's birthday. When they were little and cool with just hanging in their car seats and sleeping it was easy. I can't imagine going someplace with them now unless we were with another couple of adults so that we could take turns holding/entertaining them. I doubt we'd actually get to eat if we tried to go out just the 4 of us.

We went out when they were a few weeks old and just timed it so we would leave right after a feeding and they would just sleep the whole time. Now we are going out rarely because it's hard to get to eat. Or we try to time it so that we are feeding them while we are waiting for our food to come so by the time it comes we are done feeding (hopefully).

We haven't yet, and probably won't for a while. At least until they can eat finger foods and stay entertained. Ours do not just sit in their car seats. We could each hold one, but then eating is not really enjoyable.

We didn't go out to eat much before they arrived anyway, so I am not mourning it yet.

6 weeks. We were moving and had no choice. Once we did it the first time we started doing it more regularly It's just that first time you have to get past. Pick a family friendly restaurant, go early to make sure that they have a table and it'll be a little quicker service, and think about what you might want before getting there so you can order immediately. That way you can spend more time eating and less time waiting.

Then, we always order dessert to go, and eat it after the kids are in bed
