My DD has been in size 4 for about 2 months now. I shop at Costco and all they have is Huggies Snug&Dry; they ride up DD's butt and she having explosions,Same for Kirkland Brand which also have an awful chemical smell.. Size 5 is way to big. I got a small package of little movers from the grocery store and they work perfectly but I refuse to spend $20 on a 60 something pack when I can get 168 from Costco for $40.. So at Costco today I was looking at their pull ups. All they have are T sizes which also have a weigh limit. DD is only 20-21lbs but in a size 4 because she has a big butt and legs. The Pull ups i got are a size 2-3 T and are the same EXACT size as her size 4 snug and dry?!?!?!? But they work out better because the are made for walkers and wiggle worms.. They also have the straps at the waist to put on like a normal diaper.. What the heck does "T" stand for if the weight limit is the same as regular sizes??
What size is your 9mo in?? what brand of diapers work best with your crawler/walker..
it sounds CRAZY to have a 9mo in a 2T pull-up diaper but like I said they are practically the same exact size and I REFUSE to pay $20 for a 4th of the amount I would get at Costco. Would you do the same?
Re: I'm confused about diaper sizes?
I order in bulk online from diapers.com. We saved $10 on our first order and are always getting coupons to save more also they have free shipping on orders over $45 or 50. We use Pampers baby dry. I think we pay about $45 for 22 size 3's (xlarge case or something like that.) DD is almost 11months old and in size 3. She is about 18lbs so she will be in 3's for awhile. She is a crawler and semi-walker.
Huggies ALWAYS leaked for us. Walmart brand worked well but gave DD a rash. The pampers babydry are cheaper than cruisers and they hold a lot. I've never had an over night leak or a leak from crawling or anything.
2-3T means size 2-3 toddler. Once you phase out of infant sizing in clothes, instead of months they become 2T, 3T, 4T, 5T. Since pull-ups tend to be marketed for toddlers learning to potty train, the sizes, in theory, correspond to the toddler clothing sizes. The weight limits are the same from diaper to pull up because the 2T pull ups and size 4 diapers are meant to fit the same kids, but the pull ups are meant for potty training toddlers.
As far as diapers, we have used Target's Up&Up brand diapers for over 2 years now and been thrilled with them. DD1 is 2.5yo, 29lbs, and 37inches tall and is in a size 5 for naps/night (she is daytime potty trained). DD2 is 11 months, 17lbs and maybe 28 inches tall and in a size 3.
ETA: DD2 is crawling and just started walking, and the Target diapers are still fine for us. They stay in place well, so her mobility doesn't cause an issue with the fit.

I guess diapers are just like clothes - different brands sizes run different, and they all fit different babies' shapes differently. If the 2T pull ups are working for you - do it!
At 9 months DD was in size 3. We just went up to size 4 recently. I'm psyched that target brand diapers fit and work for her really well, because they are so much cheaper than name brands! Same with Luvs - they fit her really well, and they're cheaper than huggies or pampers. My mom had bought us a big box of huggies a while back, and I made sure to use them all up first because they run so small on my DD.
My friend's daughter is 2 1/2 and just finished potty training, so my friend gave me the diapers she had left in the house - they're Target brand size 4. The same exact diapers my 11 month old is in!
We get a box from amazon fr about $36!
I use pampers baby dry with subscribe and save and amazon mom I pay less than using off brand (like Kirkland) and free 2-day shipping + no tax. And I don't es coupons
I do the same with wipes and ay $12 for 700 wipes.
The pp was right about 2T corresponding with clothing size. Toddlers even out in weight and just get taller. They also wear clothing for a year or more (2T is up to age 3 normally)
my DS is size 5 and weighs about 30 pounds, in size 3T clothing....he is tall and thick.
DD was in size 4 from 9 months old until 2.5 she moved to size 5 then potty trained quickly.
my 9.5 month old is in size 4 pampers swaddlers or cruisers and has been for a while... she just weighed in at 20lbs 3 oz and has chunky thighs
i either buy them at Target when they are on sale or offering free gift cards + i stack their sales with coupons (manufacturers and/or target store q's).
if there are no deals at target, i get them through amazon subscribe and save and think the prices are pretty competitive. i would recommend checking them against costco.
