DH refused to discuss names until we found out the sex, so we never had an alternate. It's a good thing the U/S tech was right, because we had zero boy names.

we found out what we were having because we honestly had ZERO boy names! It would have been a tough 20 weeks until she was born if we'd found out the other way.
We still don't have any boy names Well, we MIGHT have one, but I am a bit iffy about it...
DH has vetoed the only 2 I have really liked - Vaughn and Connell.
The only thing we know is that we like the middle name Everett.
but good thing i had a boy because on the way to the hospital i was all of a sudden so aware of the 1000s of ways to pronounce it, most of which i didnt like!
We never had a name picked out for DS #1 if he had been a girl. With this one, though, DH really wanted to name her Taylor Nicole. Then we found out she is a he.... so nevermind that!
Mom to Alex - 8.29.06, Foster - 1.22.09, Emily - 6.24.11
I am a little late but FUN! I wanna play! If DD had been a boy her name would have been Corben James. James after my grandfather. DH and I are divorced now so I probably will never get to use that name (it would be too weird, right?) and that makes me sad. Love the name Corben still and I was always a Papa's (James) girl so I always thought DC would be named after him.
Re: S/O If your child was the opposite gender what would their name have been?
Hadley Michaela.
I will use Hadley as a middle name if #2 is a girl. Her name will be Leighton Hadley.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.

We didn't talk names too much before we found out the sex. I knew we'd never be able to setttle on 2 names!
But my top boy names were Nathan, Adam, and Will.
