Now I know Sea Bands have been brought up numerous times but I just thought they looked silly and wouldn't really work. OHMYGOD. They're a lifesaver today. I was sick every single day for a month and a half and then it stopped. I thought I was done with that symptom and felt great for a week. Then on Friday it all started again but times ten. Called out of work Tuesday it was so bad - I was so nauseous I couldn't even keep water down. I went out on my lunch break yesterday and got these ugly sea bands, returned to work looking like I was about to teach an aerobics class and haven't been nauseous since! I get really nauseous every morning so I set my alarm for a half hour early, woke up and put them on before getting up and this morning I felt great. Finally!
I AM IN LOVE! Minus the ugliness of them but hey, nothing is pretty about vomitting in the work bathroom and having your mascara get all over your face. Wishing this wasn't the case at 14 weeks but hopefully this part is over soon. For now, sea bands it is.
Re: Why didn't I try this sooner?!
My super all about me birth story:
Then: Fraternal twins born at 26 weeks in 1983. Me: 640 grams. Brother: 840 grams. Family kept watch in the NICU for 5 months before being allowed to go home. On oxygen for a year and a half after being released.
Now: Me: PhD student and married. Brother: Lawyer and married.
Dad's wedding speech: Thank you to all the family who stood watch and prayed for our children's survival. Well now the little scrawny chicken is married. Who would've thought? (Thanks dad for making me laugh and cry at the same time).
My BFP Chart
Same. I remembering having a puke-fest and staring down at my wrists and getting really angry at my sea bands. I threw them across the bathroom.
