I heard that Soma had nursing bras online, so I went to get measured when I was at the mall yesterday, but all of the reviews for them sound like they are a big disappointment. I purchased a few target nursing bras with our first and I hated them, they misshaped after being hand washed the first time, and without under wires just collapsed and folded. Where did you get bras that you loved? I prefer the ones with the clips, I just don't like tugging something out of the way, it never feels out of the way enough. Also considering Minneapolis is such a breast feeding friendly area, I am surprised by the lack of selection of Nursing tops. Where did you find yours?
Re: Where to get Nursing Bras that you love?
I agree with PP about Bravado. The seamless body silk ones (or whatever they are called) are super supportive and comfortable. Go to a store that specializes in nursing supplies where you can try them on in person. They are an investment, but you don't need a ton of them. Worth.Every.Penny.
I got some decent nursing tanks/camis at JCPenney (leading lady brand) that held up very well, are super soft cotton and reasonalbly priced.
They were a little pricey, but I loved the nursing bras from A Pea in the Pod (their brand). They held up really well! I will be buying them again!
You may have to order online depending on your size. They had limited sizes in the store.
I'm pretty sure I used Bravado last time and got them from a local bra shop that specialized in nursing bras. I ordered some Hot Milk ones from Zulily a few weeks ago. Hoping they are good too.
I've bought mine online - breakoutbras.com, figure8maternity.com, even Amazon - especially since they have free returns on a lot of bras now.
I also like Bravado for the sports bra type and I love their nursing tanks. I have a large chest so I've ordered Goddess bras that I liked with DD1. This time I'm going to try out some new brands once DD2 is a few weeks old.
I ordered a Hot Milk one last week, they run incredibly small. And of course, can't return it. But it is really lovely, hopefully one of my friends can use it because that was way more than I ever spend on a bra.
I'm cheap and I wear an odd size bra, so I searched for a looong time...I don't trust ordering online if I can't try on first. I just got two Motherhood ones for $22 each from Macy's, without underwire. And boy am I glad I tried on in store, their sizing is *weird*.
