A favor- can someone measure their toddler's shoes for me?

We are adopting and when we travel in a month we will bring clothes for him with us. We were only able to measure his shoes on our last visit (not his feet) and they were 6" long.  My google searches are not coming up with the best results for actual shoe measurements (as opposed to feet).  If your child has 6" shoes can you tell me what size they are?  And it will have been 2 months from our first trip to our second- should I go up a half size? A full size? How fast do toddler's feet grow? (He's 2y3m.) Thank you!

    Could you go to Target/someplace with a ruler? I realize you'd look like a crazy person, but it may help you get an idea. 

    I can measure my LO's shoes, but he's only 1yr so it probably won't help.

    Yes that would help.  I'm trying to order online right now, but it might come to that!
