Hi ladies!
Our twins just turned 2 months and the doc said we can try feeding them every 4 hours instead of 3. We upped our son's feedings from 100 ml to 120 ml (4 oz) and he is still starved at the 3 hour mark exactly. I am afraid to give him more.
So now we just wait and see when they are hungry and its hell. I miss the rigid schedule so bad. I have no idea when I can go places or meet people because i don't know when I will have to drop everything and feed them, Obviously we are trying to feed somewhere between 3 and 4 hours (if they let us go that long).
How do you ladies manage this?

Why are you afraid to give them more?
My DD2 is 2 weeks old and we were told she needed a minimum of 3-4 oz/feeding. At 2 months old, I would say 3 oz is probably not enough. We always were told to make more of a bottle than they drink. Like, if they drink 3-3.5 oz, make a 4 oz bottle. So, if your DS is downing a 3 oz bottle, make a 4 or 5 oz bottle and see how much he takes.
Ayden is small for his age because he was born early. I asked the pedi how much he should be eating and she said "There are no clear cut answers".
i have always been afraid he is going to projectile vomit if i give him too much.
My twins are 2 years old and they have NEVER gone more than 3 hours without eating their entire life (during the day).
It is what it is. I loved our 3 hour schedule and never felt the need to stretch to 4.

What I have learned is that you can't really adjust their feeding schedule too much. They will eat what they want, when they want! We are still eating every 3 hours during the day but we go longer at night, but that didn't start happening until later. At 2 months I would be happy that they are going 3 hours instead of 2!
Oh and we also went from 4 oz feedings (normally, 5 oz at night) to 5 oz during the day, 6 at night... to 6 all day long in a matter of days. It could be a growth spurt.
And about going places, always leave after a feeding and bring extra bottles. That's all you can do!
Rule of thumb for intake is 2.5 oz of formula per pound of body weight, per day. So if he's 10 lbs, he should take 25oz over 24h. My DS always ate way more than that. At 21 months he's still into milk. He's just a big drinker.
We stretched ours to 3.5 hours early on, but we didn't get to 4h until 5 months. And not all kids get there. And, really, now that they are toddlers, we probably go less than 4h between eating, but it seems less burdensome because they can feed themselves.
The 3h schedule is exhausting, but, load 'em up during the day in hopes they'll sleep longer at night.
Id say either feed more, or go back to 3 hour schedule. I had to do that, they were spitting up when given more than 4oz at a time so we went back to 3hrs.
Now they're having 7oz every 4 hours and STTN

1) We did every 3hrs until they were like 12 weeks or so -- and we only went to 4 b/c they weren't going down for naps, they needed more playtime.
2) Burp THE CRAP out of him if he's spitting up but still needs to eat more. My SIL told me she increased by 1/2 oz increments every few days until they wouldn't eat more -- this worked for us, too. If they took the 1/2 oz every time and fussed a little bit, we'd up again in a few days. They ate ~4oz at 8weeks and were up to 5.5 by 12.
If they schedule wasn't broken, why try to "fix" it? If 3 hours is/was working stick to that. That doesn't mean you have to drop everything at 3 hours - you can stretch it for a little bit if you're out shopping or something. Don't be a slave to the schedule, but keep it consistent enough that you and they can expect what's coming next.
FWIW, when I went up in oz, my kids never projectile vomitted. If they weren't happy with the new bottle size (ie, too much), they simply didn't finish the bottle. After a few days of trying the new size, I'd adjust what I made to be consistent with what they'd finish.
However, DD2 always took more than DS1. I dumped a lot of formula because I wasn't going to pressure myself to remember who took which size bottle, and which bottles belonged to which baby. I always made the same amount for both babies, and usually DS left a bit in the bottom. It's not something I ever worried about.
