Back in the hospital. :-(

My OB sent me into L & D today because I was feeling some contractions. After they confirmed the contractions on the monitor, they gave me a shot to stop them and checked my cervix via u/s. The u/s confirmed the funnel in my cervix had worsened and it looking like my membranes were beginning to slip into my cervix which my OB expects will cause them to burst. I was given my first steroid shot for the babes today and will get my second tomorrow. They are monitoring me all night and checking my cervix again in the morning. My OB and MFM have confirmed that if I go into labor again or my water bursts, they will immediately perform a RCS at this point. :-(

This is my siggy. Love it.

  • I'm so sorry to hear that you are back in the hospital. I will keep my fingers crossed that your cervix stays shut and those babies cook for many more weeks.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

  • Sending you tons of T&Ps!

You have done such an amazing job keeping those girls inside and like PPs said, 28 weeks is a MAJOR milestone, and you are at 29 weeks now!  It's also great that you are getting the steroid shots.

  • Jut talked to my MFM. He thinks my OB overreacted about the funneling in my cervix. He thinks I can return home on strict bed rest after I get my second steroid shot tonight. I'm relieved, but anxious about going home. All this jerking me around is exhausting.

This is my siggy. Love it.

That's great!!  Fingers crossed for you, and I understand being anxious about going home.  I was so nervous each time I was discharged from the hospital and sent home on strict bedrest.  How far away do you live from the hospital?

    Hang in there!!

  • Glad to hear of some reassurance! You've done great, and hopefully the little ones can stay put for at least a few more weeks!
