Implantation diet..

Hi everyone!  So my partner and I inseminated last night - 14 hours after positive OPK - and so now I am waiting.. Anything I can do or eat besides pineapple core that you all have tried to increase the chance of implantation?

Thank you in advance for any ideas - I am trying to relax and not be so gosh darn impatient, but it's much easier for me if I have something to do!

Re: Implantation diet..

  • I ate pineapple core during several cycles -- I love pineapple so I figured what the heck -- and I have never been pregnant.  I think you will find that a lot of women who have struggled to get pregnant have tried all the "fertility foods" etc and nothing has worked.  Women who tried it the cycle they got pregnant will tell you it does work.  Personally I don't think pineapple core, or any other food (with the possible exception of caffeine/alcohol), is going to make or break a cycle.

    Good luck!

  • Not food-related, but when we were trying I read somewhere about keeping your feet warm. The cycle that worked, I slept with socks on during the tww. Embarrassed I'm sure it was just coincidence, but I wanted to feel like I was "doing something" to help. LOL!!

Whatever ball.and.chain and kershnic, I'm running out right now to buy pineapple cores and warm fuzzy socks. Smile

But really, I think ball.and.chain is right on the money.  The waiting is hard, and it was especially hard for us the first cycle or two.  I would try to focus on relaxing, and maybe get some fuzzy socks.  Can't hurt, right?

Ha ha ha!  I still have mine!  Should I throw them out before IVF?

    Fertility pickles...? :

Kind of an inside joke, I guess.

Sometime before last Christmas someone mentioned that her sister had given her a pickle ornament for the Christmas tree one year that was supposed to be a "fertility pickle" -- and lo and behold she got pregnant in January.  Then someone else said the exact same thing had happened to her.  WELL -- of course everyone who was TTC at the time ran out and bought pickle ornaments.  We were doing an ornament exchange at the time and someone gave me something like TWELVE pickle ornaments.  It was awesome.  I hung them all on the tree.

I don't think any of us who bought/received pickle ornaments are pregnant?
