NT Scan

Had the NT Scan today and it was super exciting!  I am so glad that we decided to do it just for reassurance and another opportunity to see the baby.  Still need to wait for the blood work but hoping it comes back alright.  The u/s tech even told us we are having a girl. Big Smile I am not sharing it with anyone till we get confirmation at 20 weeks but she claims she is never wrong! The only bad thing was the person that went over the results with us after the u/s had just had a mental breakdown or something personal going on because she had been crying and then was still sniffling/crying through our results, I felt bad for her but she should have not been at work!

    thats exciting that they told you the sex.  I mean obviously its still early but very exciting especially since everything looks good

    How exciting!

    We're going for our NT scan in just over a week! I can't wait! to get a look at our little peanut for the first time :)

    Congratulations!

    I'm having my scan on Monday and had a few questions. When they did the ultrasound, was it vaginally? Also, do they give you the results right away? How long did the whole thing take?

     Kind of nervous about it...haven't seen the baby since 8w3d and am worried something will be wrong. Baby was growing right on target and had a strong heartbeat (168), but I can't keep myself from feeling anxious...

    I'm happy to hear that everything went well for you! And I hope that all of your blood tests come back normal. My NT scan is scheduled for September 7th. I can't wait. It will be my first time seeing baby and hearing his or her heartbeat!

    I had mine done last Friday, it didn't take long. They first did a regular u/s but the baby didn't want to move at all, she moved all around to make the baby move but no luck. So she ended up doing a vaginal ultrasound which has a made the baby move like crazy, she must have woken LO up lol Try not to be nervous, good luck

    So glad everything went well!

    I had mine yesterday too and loved seeing our LO again!  The personality was coming out!

    Me too!  Except I thankfully just had my 12 week appt on Tuesday with my OB and we heard the HB on the doppler :)  I'm pretty much relaxed about it now, it feels nice.

    For my appointment we had the u/s and then I got blood drawn and was called into someone's office (the crier) for her to review the results of the u/s,  They send the blood work out so I won't get the results till next week.  I think some places look at the blood work right then.  The u/s is external.
