Update on today's scan

WE HAVE BOYS!!! YAY!!

I appear to have several fewer cysts today than I had three weeks ago. My left ovary has shrunk by a full third - and I've decided that I am going to flat out tell the oncologist that he cannot take that one out. My right ovary is still approximately the same 20cm it was last time - there are fewer cysts, but the ones that are there seem to have increased in size (largest cyst is now 7cm instead of 5cm, etc).

My Perinatologist is very supportive of whatever choice I make - she said that she really thinks there are a lot of pros and cons with or without surgery, and says she will continue to monitor me with monthly ultrasounds regardless of whether or not I have the oncologist take the right ovary.

We're going to talk things over with the O on Monday and make a final choice on whether or not to have the right one removed, but it looks like I'll safely come away with at least one ovary :) Here's hoping I can avoid the surgery completely... but, for now, it's been a good day.
