With so many post EDD first time babies in my last poll, I was curious how many people on the board right now with this pregnancy know their O date and are basing it from there? My cycles were wonky and if I based it off my LMP it would be 9.8 but my O date puts me at 9.11 and my u/s has matched that since the beginning.

Re: CP: How are you basing your EDD?
Hi, momma!
Hope all is well!
Damn it...I knew I'd forget an option...I apologize!
With DD, I based everything on my own tracking since I thought the LMP date was off by almost a week.
With this one, I had no clue, so I'd rather base it on the early u/s than the pulled-it-out-of-my-arse guess at my LMP. Hence, why I'm here and not sitting on the Octomoms board.
Rora, we were giving Anita a hard time last night in chat about messing up your plans to labor at the same time and share delivery fees.
EDD from ultrasounds has been 9/6. Well, the ultrasound tech told us 9/6... and later the report said 9/7. Whatever, I stuck with 9/6.
Charting gives me a due date of 9/10. I'm betting he doesn't make his appearance before then anyway.
We'd been using the rhythm method for 3 years (to NOT conceive) and so I knew my cycle pretty well. I was also sick at the time and we were not as busy that month IYKWIM so there was just the one time on Christmas Eve. My early US confirmed it for us.

This. Exactly. Like, I'm kind of creeped out by how very exactly "this."
It was also less awkward in a conversation to say 9/9 than 9/11. Oh, and 9/9 has the added benefit of being Grandparents' Day.
I would have said my EDD was 9/26 based on my charting, but Drs. have it dated by ultrasounds at 9/28. :shrugs:
2 days means nothing.
My doctor used my LMP for both kids but I'm pretty certain I know when I O'd and baby is measuring closer to my O date. Same thing happened with DS and he was born on my EDD from my O date, but a week early from my LMP date.
I've never been one to really care what my EDD is. When people ask when I'm due I just say the end of Sept.

Well I don't know my O date from an OPK or from temping, but from a sharp pain in my side that occurred right around the time I was supposed to ovulate according to the calendar. I made a note of it on my fertility calendar just in case.
It was the first month we "tried", and it was a very half assed attempt (just like, oh hey I think i may be O'ing soon according to my menstrual calendar so let's have sex!).
Well I got pregnant, and the first u/s put my due date at exactly what I estimated based on the O date from the pain in my side. It would have been 2 days earlier had we gone by LMP.
Carter Robert 7.18.08 | Brynn Sophia 5.24.10 | Reid Joseph 9.10.12 | Emerson Mae 1.27.14
We've been going by the 9/7 EDD. This way if they start talking inductions for a late baby, it buys me a couple of days.
Sometimes, I'm hilarious.
Somehow LO has managed to measure exactly on the due date 9/16 at each u/s. 9/16 is also the day based on LMP.
