Have anything to complain about? Someone join me please so I don't feel like a big baby! lol
My first grr...we buy about $20 worth of raw almonds every other week or so (dh eats like 2oz/day at work, and then the kids and I all have a handful pretty much everyday too). The last two times we've bought them from this specific grocery store, they've been roasted. I'm sure roasted almonds are good, but NOT to me!! Oh my gosh, with the m/s, the very smell of them makes my stomach roll. I'm so ready to scream at someone (though I won't...I've worked retail before and I know mistakes are made and they're human). I'm just angry that we've wasted $40 on almonds. Dh ate the first batch, but I'm totally going to talk to a manager this time because I want RAW almonds. They don't even have a roasted almond bin at this store, so in theory, they shouldn't even have roasted almonds!
My second grr...more like GRRRR...we live in a private neighborhood. The speed limit here is 10mph. It is posted all over and painted on the entrance to each street. There are a ton of kids here, and most of them spend at least a little time in the streets. My big kids are allowed to ride their bikes on the street, off to the side, but my two little ones are not allowed in the street at all. Little kids will be little kids though, and it does happen that they occasionally dart out into the street after a ball or something, even though they know better (as much as a little kid can understand). We let our big kids outside alone, but we're always out there with the little ones because you can't trust toddlers. The people here drive SO freaking fast! I swear some of them drive at least 30mph down the street. One time right after we moved here, our 3yo darted into the street and literally almost got ran over. The van had to slam on its brakes, it was one of those slow motion things that you just can't get to the kid fast enough. Talk about nightmares. But it's because they were going SO much faster than the 10mph speed limit. The guy that was driving drives a LOT slower now, but his wife does not. She'll look right at me and drive as fast as she pleases, knowing full well her dh almost killed my kid. There are two ladies who have a BMW that live a few houses down that do the same thing. One day I had enough of it. You can usually hear them approaching, and you can tell by the sound if they are going fast or slow. I heard something coming super fast, so I walked out in to the middle of the street. The guy yelled at me to get out of the road! I yelled at him to slow down. I mean, what if I would have been a little kid that didn't stop?! I guess these people just don't realize that this is a family neighborhood, and no matter how saintly the parent, there are always going to be little kids in the street. If you don't like the 10mph speed limit, go live on the side of the highway! We got one of those "SLOW, children at play" signs that we'll put in the middle of the road when the kids are outside, but 90% of the people look at it and drive just as fast. We actually had one lady run into it! WTHeck?! This week, after getting the urge to choke the next person who drove by irresponsibly, I put signs on the windows of my Suburban that said "It is only 10mph!". A few people (including the one who yelled at me before) actually slowed down. They all looked at me like I was an idiot, but I don't care. They can think I'm the neighborhood speed Nazi, but they'll thank me someday when they realize they don't have to live with the horrifying guilt of running over a small child. The (omg...this lady conjures up so many bad feelings) BMW lady looked at my kids playing in the driveway, looked at my signs, and drove at least 30mph. Dh was furious when he got home and asked if I wanted him to go talk to them. I'm going to talk to the property manager and ask if we can get some destroy-the-bottom-of-your-car speedbumps on our street. They have them on some of the other streets, but not all. It's so frustrating. Why can't people just follow rules and respect each other?

I didn't read the speeding story... way too long for me today. But I had to laugh when I saw your comment - that was such a great episode!

I haven't ever seen Modern Family, we don't have cable.
I have thought about calling the police, but dh said they wouldn't do anything since it's private property (mobile home park)? I would love nothing more than for them to come hang out and check people's speed. I keep telling dh that if I see a whistle at a store, I'm buying it and I'm going to scare the crap out of people driving by. One lady on the next street down told me she chases cars and screams at them.
I'm sorry your dh is giving you crap about what you eat. Somedays it's either eat "crap", or eat nothing...and crap is better than nothing.
My DH was like this at first. I finally told him what you said, nothing sounds good or tastes good most of the time so when it does, I'm eating it. He may still be thinking it, but he at least stopped asking me all the time.
My complaint would be that I'm tired of this in between stage. Most of my old clothes - mainly pants and a few shirts - don't fit as well. I hesitate to buy too much maternity wear yet. I've broken down to get one pair of work pants and one pair of jeans. My medium shirts don't fit due to bigger boobs and my belly fat/bloat. I've got some larges and a few extra larges that were more weekend lounge wear pre-pregnancy. I'm not wishing for a big belly yet, I know I'll have it long enough, but I'm just wishing clothes were more comfortable without me needing to buy a new wardrobe already.
