Are all carseats a pain to install?

Ours really are a pain, for everyone who has tried! My parents, guys who I've had to ask for help when I've taken my car in, my husband (who never complains about installing stuff or anything of that manner).

They are the Evenflo Tribute (in my car) and Eddie Bauer something or other in his car.

Any recommendations on good carseats (RF up to a large weight range) that aren't a pain in the butt to install.. or are they just all that way? :/

    Yeah we use the LATCH... maybe it's not the seats that are a pain, but the LATCH lol. PP, do you use the LATCH with your Britax Advocate?

    We aren't RFing but were using the LATCH. Once we started using the belt instead it got WAY easier!

    We have the MyRide 65 and it's pretty easy.  We also use the latch system, and haven't had any problems.

    It's a real challange to get it tight enough when installing. Even when my husband bears his weight down on it, it's hard for him. Same for me and everyone else lol. We do end up getting it tight but it's really hard.

    Did you put a pad under it?  Like a non-slip rug pad?  I think that helps.

    Have you change the angle of your tug?  (TWSS!)  Seriously though, I have to pull the strap at a particular angle, kind of diagonally upward toward the front headrests for it to tighten all the way.

    The First Years True Fit is really easy to install. It has the highest shell, so highest rfing height limit on the market, but the rfing weight limit is only 35 lbs.
