Which brand of diapers do you prefer?

We had a diaper raffle, so I have a variety of brands, but so far Luvs has proven to be best. Everyone told me Pampers, but this kid has blown out of them the past two days and I've been changing outfits constantly. They're not too big, they're NB size, and we didn't have this problem when we were on the Luvs package. When we have to start buying our own (which won't be for a long while...), I definitely won't be buying Pampers.

What's your favorite brand?

Re: Which brand of diapers do you prefer?

  • My friend's kids all used Huggies and we got a bunch of those so we will be starting there. Otherwise I am not sure.

  • I was always switching mine...I started with some pampers and they didnt work very good, so i started using huggies and those lasted for a few months, but then he started leaking in those. I think it just changes as they grow.

My preference is the opposite. Tried a few brands and prefer Pampers and dislike Luvs :)

  • We had a few different brands. I liked Luvs, but we only had the teeny ones for her which she's since grown out of.

We had Pampers at the hospital which I liked because they have a color changing line that lets you know if she's wet/dirty at a glance.

  • We use cloth, but when we do use disposables I like Luvs the best

  • I like the construction of the Pampers Swaddlers the most, they have a former back side than Huggies so I feel like it keeps everything in better. She leaks through the Huggies and has had 1 blow out. We haven't even tried Luvs, we never got any from anyone and haven't had to buy diapers yet.

  • I"ve always preferred Pampers.  We are using huggies right now cause I had already opened the package and I don't like them.  They don't fit him right.  Pampers Swaddlers fit perfectly on his no-butt having self.  lol

  • i have used huggies and pampers thus far and both have been fine, but I slightly prefer the pampers because of the line that turns blue when baby is wet. Sometimes with newborns you can hardly tell they are wet cuz the outlut is so little

  • Huggies natural for disposables.

    BumGenius 3.0s for cloth.

  • My peanut is only a week old tomorrow but we have been using the wal-mart brand generic diaper and it's worked really well so far. No blowouts, no rash, and it has the wet/dry line plus the price doesn't hurt either. When he's a bit older we will be using one size pocket cloth diapers, I can't wait!

  • I really like up&up (target brand) they have little designs that disappear when he needs to be changed. I haven't had any blow outs or rashes with them either. And I like that the tabs are bigger.

Once he gets big enough he will be in OS pocket cloth diapers

  • I love love love Pampers Swaddlers ever since my first child.

It fits so snug and not to mention the line that changes colors.

The only thing I dislike about it, is the stinky tabs that are made out of a plasticy material the seems to be uncomfortable for baby because she likes to have her feet bent towards her torso so I can imagine it being irritable. I wish they made it softer like they do with the bigger baby diapers.

  • Am I the only one that has Huggies with a line that changes to blue when it's time for a change?

  • Right now we are using Pampers, its what the hospital uses as well and they gave us a pack of them. They aren't bad, but DD is a wiggler and I find the only time she has blown out of one is because DH had it on a bit strange so it didn't perfectly.

We had a sample pack of Huggies, and their cut out for the cord was really nice, I may move over to huggies for the next packagem

Our Huggies P&Ns have the same line that changes to blue/green, as do the regular Huggies.  A lot of brands of newborn (and some size 1) diapers will have that line.

I've been really happy with Pampers Swaddlers.

Ditto!  I love the little yellow line that changes to blue to tell me if he's dry or not.    We had one blow out, but that was with the Huggies brand...  Right now we're trying to use up all the Huggies so we can go back to the Swaddlers.

this is us too.  I go back and forth though
