Re: Maternity skinny jeans?

  • For that price..I would definitely wear them!!! Pair them with a empire waist/dressy type of shirt and you should be good!

On a side note....I could never justify buying maternity pants for that price especially since you only wear them for a little while!

I'm refusing to by maternity jeans because the ones I've seen aren't "skinny."

  • I got something similar to that from Burlington coat factory- and so far everyone says they look good on me, so i've been going with it! lol

I feel good in them but I never wore them prior to pregnancy either!

I'm kind of a designer jean junkie :-/  I know they're pricey, but I thought they were cute.  I just wonder if skinny jeans and a big belly clash too much!

  • I have a pair of maternity skinny kahki pants that i wear to work all the time...super comfy!!

  • I think skinny jeans def go with pregnancy!  I didn't want to spend a lot, so found a cheapo pair at Burlington Coat Factory, but if you've got the cash go for the designer ones. :)  Pregnant or not, I think it best to balance them with a bigger, loose fitting top.   And when I wear regular jeans/pants I try to wear more snug tops.  I think having that sort of balance is most flattering.  All baggy is not flattering, and all tight is just weird when preggo (except for yoga!).

I wish I could be!! Jealous! Skinny jeans don't fit me "right" so I'm not one to wear them but if they are comfy, I would do it!

I completely agree!  I'll have to play with what tops I can wear with these jeans.  I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't look like a whale on toothpicks if I wore these in public!

Yep!  I'm a skinny jean wearer pre-pregnancy, so I have some super cute boots that I don't want to miss out on wearing!

Me, wearing skinny jeans, pregnant. I don't wear anything else. The ones I have are Pea In A Pod and I have some Heidi Klum brand twill skinnies coming in the mail Friday. I think, if anything, they accentuate the bump and kind of make it look bigger.. which, I don't have a problem with because duh, I'm pregnant, why wouldn't I have a baby bump? Anyway, hope that helps. Yes

You look adorable!  And I looked at the Heidi Klum brand twill skinnies too.  You'll have to let me know what you think of them (I've never worn any of her stuff).

Thanks ladies!  I will wear my new skinny jeans with confidence :-)

  • I don't normally wear skinny jeans even before being pregnant. But I came across some on clearance at Old Navy awhile back so I grabbed them. I feel like I look like a whale in them now, but everyone says that I still look cute in them. So I say get them if you want...

  • I love maternity skinny jeans.  I have two pairs from H&M.. I say go for it!
  • I say rock it. Personally, I look ehh in skinny jeans unless I'm wearing heels w/ them --- these feet haven't seen heels in months. If you have the figure to wear skinny jeans and flats, by all means, go for it!!!

  • Go for it!!  I have a pair and they're my favorite.  I wouldn't wear them pre-preg bc I always thought my thighs looked too chunky, but now I think the belly kind of balances them out, bonus!

  • The way I see it is that skinny jeans aren't all that different than leggings, just more structured.  I have one pair now and a black pair on the way.  I have boots that only look good with skinny jeans, no way I was going to give them up!

  • I have 2 pairs of Gap skinny maternity jeans that I wear on casual Fridays or on the weekends. I pair them with heels a cute top and a blazer/vest/sweater or belt.  I love them.

  • Cute jeans.  I just picked up a pair at H&M a few weeks ago, but haven't worn yet.  My plan was to wear with boots (and yes, a long shirt to distract from the width of my hips and bootie) :)

I think Old Navy and Gap have some skinny maternity jeans. I got a pair from Old Navy only because they were on sale for $15 and they looked great. I out grew the band but I loved wearing them.

  • Those are super cute! I'm WAY to cheap for that. I'm too cheap for even cheap maternity clothes. I'm still trying to make pre pregnancy jeans work with a belly band, I'll have to try and dig some out soon. I DID just buy a bin of maternity clothes from a girl on craigs list. $20. Score :)

  • I've been wearing maternity skinny jeans. I love them. If you can wear them and look good, why not!!! I bought Citizens of Humanity maternity jeans from Piperlime in the beginning of my pregnancy and I love them. I decided I'd spend the crazy $$$ on one style of jeans and get the other ones from gap.
