My brother and his wife told me this weeked that they are pregnant with twins! This will be their first (and second LOL) and I was wondering if there was anything that you could not have lived with out. For example: with my son I could not have lived with out his swing and the video baby monitor. I would like to be able to help them out and see if there is anything I may already have that will be a help to them. Thanks much!

Re: Mother's of twins please help
I would offer anything that you have that you don't mind giving them or lending to her. There really isn't anything that I would turn down from my sister and she's planning on having a second child one day so as my girls outgrow clothes/toys/swings/etc. I give it all to her for her to use one day.
If you're looking for something to buy her or do for her, I agree with swaddle blankets (we loved the Swaddle Me's) and it would have been awesome to have frozen meals. Also, just help would be great - depending on what she wants either go over and clean or cook, or offer to sit with the kids so she can sleep.
I can't speak to what's essential once the babies actually get here but I would offer to do any chores/grocery shopping/cooking, etc. I can say that having my mom come up and prepare a freezer full of food/meals for us was a life saver since my husband can't boil water. I'm not on full bed rest but have been on restricted activity since around 18 weeks so cooking/grocery shopping is a real challenge since I'm not supposed to be on my feet for more than 10-15 minutes at a time.
It so sweet of you to be thinking of them!
