Tomorrow is my appointment with the cnm at the new practice (that is hopefully less inept than the previous one) (i am not super thrilled that it is a cnm and not an ob, but i couldn't get in with an.ob for another month. I am hoping that will change once they discover the mono-di status).
I feel like it should be comparable to.a first visit to a competent provider discovering twins.for the first time. Since i did not have that experience the first go.round, what should i expect? Should they be concerned about determining.chorionicity tomorrow or relatively soon? I see intro.posts where people know right away what their twins are, so at what point do they officially "diagnose" it. I have my unofficial mono-di "diagnosis, but that does me no good until i can get an actual doctor to care. I am hoping tomorrow.is the magical day that i can get someone to.listen to me. Wish me luck.
Re: stupid question about dr visit
At 14 weeks I would demand that they determine choronicity. And if you are in fact mono-di, they should start treating you as such, ie: extra care and monitoring.
Stand on your head if you have to, to make them pay attention!
Agreed. If your twins are mono-di, they need to be monitoring their growth more closely. I would not leave that office until they determine chorionicity. I've seen your other posts- so sorry your doctors are not taking this as serious as they should be. Good luck!
