I have been searching for an IRL Mommy group. But I work. All the Mommy groups in my area are for SAHM (daytime meetings) and the working mom ones are inactive (maybe that is a hint).
So I am thinking I may start one myself. I may just be adding to the graveyard of meet-up groups for working moms.
What do ya'll think? Silly or smart?
Would any MD moms join?
Re: IRL Mommy Group
I am assuming you are going through Meetup.com?
It's definitely harder to do things in the evening. I know my evenings are filled with oatmeal cereal and nursing off and on for a while and then bedtime. However, maybe you can figure out some activities for the weekends?
Also if you are into just getting together with other moms sans babies, one of our off shoots from my playgroup does uptown lunches. Like everyone meets up on the lunch hour or whatever.
I did. They have NOTHING on the weekends and the latest get togethers are at 3:30.
geeky, I don't know how close you are to DC, but check out DC Urban Moms forum. There are usually quite a few options there, and if not, the people who are on the forums are very helpful with ideas.

I am thinking meetup.com.
I will try it. Now I need a clever name...
I think it is a good idea. I found a mom group for working moms in my area and I think I might join eventually. However, I just started back at work and I am still trying to figure out how to juggle everything and stay sane.
Starting your own would be fun. If I was near you, I would rather join yours than the one I found elsewhere.
