I had a few 3D pictures done last Thursday. They came out pretty good. My doctors office usually does it during your third trimester ultrasound when the baby has more body fat and looks more like a newborn.
I'm still trying to pick a place. We did not get an elective gender ultrasound and unless I have complications fingers crossed that I will not I will not have any more ultrasounds from my doctor. So we are opting for the 3D to get another look at our daughter before she is born. I always found them creepy, but a lot of my thinking on any pregnancy related things has changed since getting pregnant. Believe it or not I am starting to be a belly rubbersomething I swore I would not do.
As part of a National Institute of Health study that my hospital is participating in, I am volunteering to do a pregnancy study. As part of the study, I will be getting a 3D ultrasound at 28 weeks. The tech said the 3rd trimester is best
I was told 26-28 weeks. I'll be 24.5 weeks when I go on Sept. 10 - my husband said he thought the Dr. said next appointment. My guess is I'll schedule my GD and U/S when I go.
Re: For those getting 3D ultrasounds
The couple that I looked at seemed to agree that between 28 and 32 weeks would be best. I don't think we'll do them.
With DS I did it at 21 weeks and again at 28.
I will be doing them around 24 this time.
BFP#1 on 02/14/09 BIRTH to Mason 6lb9oz on 10/12/09
BFP#2 on 5/28/11 EDD 2/1/12 Natural M/C on 6/13/11
BFP#3 on 1/20/12 EDD 9/30/12 Natural m/c on 1/27/12
BFP#4 on 4/23/12 BIRTH to Isabella 7lb1oz on 12/19/12
I will go at my 28th week. Since my doctor won't be doing anymore ultrasounds I had to look for a place. so 28 weeks!
This is what I've been told as well. I'm getting it done around 29, I think
