I really like it but I feel certain that it will be creeping into the top 5 in the near future sadly. It might be a contender if it weren't for its popularity.

Like it a lot. It is gaining popularity, but it was #57 last year and seems to jump up about 10 spots per year, so I think you have 5 or so years before it hits top 5.
So I don't think you will end up with a bunch of Henrys in his class, just an occasional Henry here or there and more that will be younger than him.
I love Henry - but it is becoming fairly popular I know several little Henrys right now. It would have been a top contender for us anyway, but one of those little Henrys is DH's best friend's kid.
Henry is NMS but it is SUPER popular here. I live in a town with a population of 30,000 aprx. and I personally know 3 babies with this name. (born in the last 8 months) so if unique is what you are looking for this MAY not be it.
DD born Oct 2011 - DS#1 born Jan 2014 - DS#2 born Apr 2015 - DS#3 born Sept 2016 - LO#5 due Feb 7, 2018
I LOVE Henry. I do hear it quite a bit, but it's one of those names that I don't get tired of hearing. I can picture it in the top 5, you just never know these days.
I love the name. The only reason we crossed it off our list is we thinks it's way TOO popular now for our taste. It's been climbing up the charts every year, so if popular is what you are seeking, I think you're right ahead of the curve. Go for it
Sept 2013 started TTC#2 (never got PP period so hoping for the first egg to drop)
Jan 2014 - diagnosed POF (Premature Ovarian Failure) and told pregnancy not possible without egg donor because my ovaries would never function again with my hormone levels (FSH 136, LH 98.6, AMH <.03, estradiol 0, HCG 7) - using acupuncture, chiropractic care and TCM herbs / supplements
March 11, 2014 ovulated despite every doctors prognosis!!!
Oct 2014 hormones (FSH 48, Estradiol 89, HCG 1) not good, but heckuva lot better!
Nov. 16, 2015 FET of single adopted 5AA embryo - BFN
love it (obviously, see siggy), considered that it was possibly going to be very popular and is quite popular now- but it was perfect for him when we met him & completely suits him.

Love it- it is our boy name. It may be a creeper in the next few years, but I think it is a bit too old school to be the next Aiden. People tend to be afraid of the nicknames that go with it (Hank, Hal), which is a nice deterrent.
I have a 3-year old son named Henry. Although I keep hearing it's getting more and more popular I don't know a single other child named Henry. We live in a metro area, my son goes to preschool and we are active in church and we've never come across another one (we know a couple older Henrys, but not children). I'm sure there are some out there, but I guess what I'm saying is it doesn't seem to be as super popular as I thought it might be (and I was fine with the potential gain in popularity as it's a strong, classic name and could never by any stretch of the imagination be considered trendy).

Norah transformed our family January 6, 2013
It's a family name on both sides, so we strongly considered it for DS's first name. Settled on the MN, since that is also Daddy's middle name.
Can't go wrong with a classic like that.
I loved Henry when I was pg with DD1, but she ended up a Hannah ;o)
DH was never on board with Henry so its one of my favorite names I'll never get to use list.
'Til He returns, or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I stand.
It is getting more popular but I don't think it will be top 5 anytime soon to be honest.
Classic and solid name. Love Henry! It will be my boys name if I am ever blessed with a boy.
It is super popular in my area but I'm choosing not to care. It's not a trendy name so it doesn't bother me as much.
