We can not decide on a name for a girl. We know for sure the middle name will be Ryan (after my brother who passed away) but my SO thinks alot of my choices are crazy! Do any of these sound good?
Harper Ryan (Love this); London Ryan; Leighton Ryan; Dakota Ryan; Bailey Ryan; Harlow Ryan
Is he right?? Am I picking all crazy ridiculous names? Thanks
Re: Help! Girl w/ middle name Ryan but can't pick decide a first. Opinions?
The thing about your list is that they are all unisex names. When I see a unisex first name, I look to the middle name to clue me in about gender. To me, and I'm sure many others, Ryan is a male name. If I saw those names on my class list, I'd feel pretty confident assuming they were boys.
If you want a masculine middle name like Ryan, I'd pick a first name that is unambiguously feminine.
As much as I like Harper and London, I agree with the PPs.
I do like Leighton and Harlow though.

I agree with the two other ladies. All the names while unisex seem very boy-ish to me.

Well, I don't think they are crazy. My middle name is Ryan as is DD. We also have a 1-year-old girl friend with the middle name. Courtney, Emerson and Addison.
I love Harper and Harlow!
Good luck!
Your choices aren't 'crazy' just very very trendy and will all be time-stamped. They may sound fresh and original, but trust me, they won't in 20 years.
And I agree with everyone about them all sounding masculine with Ryan.
And the only Leighton I know IRL is a boy.
OP, I'd choose a feminine FN so it isn't so impossible to decide whether your child is a boy or girl on paper.

I love Ryan as a first name for a girl. BUT I was worried that that may be a little too hard on my mom. She is still having a difficult time with the loss of my brother and I don't want to make anything harder on her. Thank you for the tip though! I love your daughters name
