We bought the Angelcare movement and sound. We have obviously not tested it with a real baby, but we've set it up, and so far it's pretty awesome. The sound is crystal clear, and the movement sensor is really neat.

We haven't used it yet with a baby since this is our first but after we set it up a few weeks ago we did some testing with it and everything seemed to work really well.
I haven't heard anything about the movement and sound monitors so I can't help on that.

I have the Summer Infant BabyTouch Digital Color Video Monitor and Babysense Infant Movment Monitor. We have not used then with a LO yet but tested/played with both and really like them! :
We have the Summer Infant BabyTouch Digital Color Video Monitor also. I have not even opened the package. We plan to have baby in the bassinet in our room for the first few months so I've got a little time. My friends have the same monitor and they love it.
We got the Angelcare. It's still in the box! I didn't think we needed a video monitor because our house is pretty tiny so sound will do just fine and the movement is an added bonus! The girl at BRU was trying to tell us how she gets a lot of complaints about them but I have also read too many good reviews to not give it a try myself.

We love our summer infant baby touch! We had another summer infant video monitor before this one and loved that one as well.

We have both an Angelcare Deluxe & a Summer Infant Slim video monitor.
DS is on a different floor from us & the temp varies greatly b/w floors, so the temp readout on the Angelcare was a huge selling point, plus of course the peace of mind about movement. The video was also critical for us so we wouldn't be going up & down stairs a million times to check him for every little sound.
Re: Baby Monitors
We went with this Motorola video monitor because of reviews:

This.
We haven't gotten ours yet, but we decided to go a slightly different direction and will get this video monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Foscam-FI8910W-Wireless-Network-Camera/dp/B006ZPWS4U/ref=br_it_dp_o_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=WZLYJ0AM7U7G&coliid=I2IREOY78XC583 (sorry, can't make it link on my Mac)
It's gotten great reviews as a baby monitor and is much less expensive. We'll see if it works!
