My neighbours are awesome

My neighbours are expecting their first child in November. I sold/lent/gave them a bunch of things we don't need anymore. In fact, I was feeling kind of bad for dumping it all on them. But I guess they didn't feel that way because they just surprised us with a gift certificate to a local sushi place AND said they would watch the girls so we could enjoy an evening sans kids.

Are they the best or what!

Nope - We haven't actually moved yet. The offer me made on the new house was conditional. The condition being we need to sell our condo. So until we do sell, we are staying here.

Sort of. The way it works here is that if someone puts in an offer with no conditions, the seller has to inform us and then we have 72 hours to decide whether we want to drop the condition or let the house go. Some people might be able to afford 2 mortgages at once, but we most certainly can't, so yes, if the seller got an unconditional offer, we would lose the house.

The hubs and I are really zen about it though. If it doesn't work out, then it just wasn't meant to be. And as much as I'd like to have my own yard and all, I don't have a problem staying here a little longer. So whatever happens, happens.

That's really awesome! I wish I had cool neighbors! I live next to a grumpy old man who has never even waved to me or my family. In fact, if I start working on the yard like mowing, pulling weeds, he storms into his garage and does something to his lawn...I long for cool neighbors!! We are in an 'older' part of town, with no young kids.
