Switched Doctors!
I am so excited that the doctor I really wanted agreed to take me on as a patient. (i'm 26 weeks, I heard they don't like to take on new patients that late). Which means I'll be delivering at the fancy hospital nearer my house instead of the hospital all the way downtown!
Since its the fancy hospital parking costs more, but totally worth it.
Just sharing my cheer! It was something I was really anxious about.

That's good. I requested to switch doc's in my first trimester because I just didn't feel informed at all with the first one.
Now that I'm comfortable with my current doc, he's leaving the beginning of November when I'm due =( .... So starting at my next appt I have to meet with the new doc Ill be handed over to while my current will still attend the appts along with... =
That's a bummer! I would think that if they're in the same practice, perhaps they will have similar styles.
I actually made the switch because my original was a single-doctor practice, and I wanted to know the back up doctor would be from the same practice. There were other reasons too, but that was a big one.

I'm moving and just switched--I hadn't thought about doctors being reluctant to take on new patients this far along, but luckily my new doc made an exception. It's a one-doctor practice, and I haven't met her yet, so I am crossing my fingers that everything works out!
