Not showing very fast

I am a FTM and 14 weeks pregnant with twins. I started showing a little at 11 weeks but not much has changed since then. I am not sure how fast your belly grows with twins but did you notice much change within the first few weeks of showing? I am worried that their growth might be slow. I have an ultrasound tomorrow but I am just curious about other's experiences with a twin pregnancy.

i had three babies and two ovaries the size of baseballs and at that point, i wasn't anywhere close to showing. (of course, i have a very long torso and wasn't exactly slender when i started out.) just to say, in a few months, you'll be showing plenty. the babies are still small.

I gained no weight at all until 16 weeks. We didn't find out it was twins until 20 weeks. By 16 weeks they thought I was measuring a couple weeks ahead, but that's not abnormal and I still wasn't really "showing" so I didn't think anything about it. After we found out, I still managed to gain the recommended amount in the next 17 weeks. I wouldn't worry about it too much--I know a lot of girls on here didn't find out until 20 weeks also, so they couldn't have been showing much yet either.

You were probably just bloated at 11 weeks. At 12 weeks, I had the teeniest 'bump' and probably only noticed anything because I'm a twig lol. By 15-16 weeks I was getting a noticeable bump to others, but still pretty small. I'm also a FTM. No worries, mama.

Thank you ladies, that makes me feel a little better. I guess I was concerned because I listen to their heartbeats on the doppler and I can see that they are slowly moving up closer to my belly button so I assumed I should be seeing more of a bump. I am also really tiny and started out at 101 pounds before getting pregnant so I thought I should see my belly grow faster, but I guess it is a slow process even with twins.

Did you have IVF? How long did your ovaries stay large for? I had IVF in may and my ovaries are still painful and quite large. My dr said it might take another month but it seems like they are staying large for longer than normal.

I've heard that FTMs sometimes do not show as quickly also. Don't fret, that belly will be popping out before you know it. I'm 25 weeks now, measuring 34 weeks. :P

no, my triplets were spontaneous. not sure why my ovaries were so giant, but they never caused me any issues. i'm not sure when they shrunk. hmm.

I'm very average sized...wouldn't consider myself a thin person, but also not over weight. That being said, we didn't tell people about my pregnancy or the fact that we are expecting twins until I was nearly 14 weeks along, and no one guessed before then. I'm sure you're fine! Now that I'm a little over 25 weeks, I definitely feel and look much bigger than I did during my first pregnancy with a singleton, but during the entire first trimester and several weeks into the second, I honestly think I looked about the same as I did with one baby.
