So I always get the "oh you must have your hands full" when I'm out and about with my girls, but today, my cashier at Target asked me if I delivered vaginally. Really Target cashier that I met 3 seconds ago?!
seriously...

I don't think that would bother me much... some people are really curious, and there are a lot of good reasons for them to be... they could be pregnant, their friend or sister could be pregnant, they could have had a bad experience and are looking for some kind of reassurance that they made a good choice... all kinds of motives that we can't see just from an initial question. Now, if she seemed snooty or rude about it like she was prying to see if you had the kind of birth she thinks is superior, that's totally uncalled for. But I don't think I'd be upset by just the question in general.

If they have questions they can ask their doctor, google it, find forums such as this, but I would NEVER ask some random stranger if she delivered her kids vaginally, if she breastfed them, or any other personal question like that. It's just a very personal thing and completely inappropriate for someone else to ask IMO.

I'm sorry - its NEVER okay for a stranger to ask that. Just because you have multiples does not mean your vag/menstrual cycle/delivery is up for public discussion with strangers. how annoying.

I agree that's off limits. While in a furniture store last week, the cashier came up to me, touched my belly, asked when we were due, and once I told her we were having twins she asked that question that I personally think is a no-no... "Were they conceived naturally?" I told her they were spontaneous twins and she quickly started telling me about her pregnancy woes since she and her hubby had been trying for 4 months. Just too personal of a conversation to have with a cashier I just met. I was rather uncomfortable, especially since there were other customers around!
Yea, any question/comment that has to do with my vagina, or anyone's vagina for that matter, makes me very uncomfortable; especially with complete strangers. lol
It was a little better though than a lady at Kohls last week that actually made a sound of disgust when I walked past her, "oh, ugh". That took everything in me to not turn around and say, "excuse me, what's it like to not have a soul? Because I'm pretty sure that's the only way anyone can be disgusted by infants."

Why is it if you have multiples or are pregnate with them people think they can ask you very invasive questions? The thing is would she ask any other customer with a singleton how they delievered? I am sure not but since you had or are having more then one people seem to think they can just ask away personal questions. I understand some may find it interesting but it is personal!
