Silly Babies!

I love hearing stories about all the funny things the babies are doing and getting into, just wondering how your baby/toddler is making you laugh these days?

Emery is shaking her head and yelling at the same time trying to make her voice sound funny, she is also feeding everyone, she thinks it's the coolest thing to give you food. Lastly, she loves to share, no matter what she has she will hand it to whomever is around her, we had a festival over the weekend that we went to and she gave her toy to an elderly man sitting by her at the picnic table and then just started waving her hands and laughing. He chimed in with more laughter which really got her rolling, I think people thought we were crazy but it was such a cute/funny moment. :)

Re: Silly Babies!

  • Gemma thinks the toilet handle is great(and me, not so much). If I forget to close the bathroom door she is in there flushing away and giggling up a storm. If she happens to come in the bathroom while you are on there she will give you a complimentary flush. The grossest feeling ever.

  • H loves to be chased.  She keeps checking back to make sure you're following her and then cracks up.   She also keeps calling me dada.  Today I walked in after her nap and she waves and yell "hey dada!" argh.

  • All these babies are so darn cute!

DD2 also loves to feed us. She also really enjoys reaching out to us with a piece of food, then shoving it in her mouth when we go to eat it. Little stinker.

  • I don't have silly, but I have crazy and unpredictable.  Today, for the first time, DD learned how to climb on...well everything...

    1.  climbing up onto a small ottoman to get a boost up onto the couch.

    2. climbing directly up onto the couch after I removed the ottomans.

    3.  climbing over her glider ottoman in her bedroom, which was barricading her from the outlet where her monitor and white noise machine were plugged in.

    4.  attempting to climb into the tub - luckily I was right there next to her and caught her before she went in headfirst!

And finally, not climbing related, after I was moving the dresser in her room to block the outlet, I found her in the bathroom.  She was under/behind the toilet, inspecting the plumbing connections....with her mouth.  Pretty much the grossest thing ever.  I have no idea why she was such a terror today.  I need a drink!

  • All of these stories made me laugh. This stage is so fun/hard! We also have a climber. E grabbed her bumbo from my yard sale pile of goodies, pushed it over the the ottoman, then climbed on that, and then climbed onto the chair it belongs do, THEN attempted to climb over the chair and onto the window ledge! Such fun!

On a side note, my dad picked her up from DC yesterday to spend a couple hours with her, I texted him her "rules" saying...put the baby gate up or she will try to climb the stairs, eat the dog food, and flush the toilet if you let her roam free. Well as soon as he came into the house and set her down, turned around to grab the diaper bag from the porch and turned back, she was half way up the stairs! I told him she was tricky, then he tells SO that she took off into the kitchen and started getting into what....the dog food/water. Lucky for him she didn't eat any of it, she just took all the food that was left and threw it into the water and then splashed and got water everywhere. OH TODDLERS! Thanks for sharing your funny moments. Loved it.

  • M also LOVES to be chased. She does the "lookback" thing too, just to make sure we're still following. She has just started blowing kisses, but doesn't actually blow them, she just kisses her palm. She also loves giving open mouth kisses, specifically on my legs when I'm sitting on the couch. I try to get her to kiss me on the cheek and she turns away, but as soon as I sit up she comes over and kisses my legs. Strange kid! She also loves when I cover her mouth to make her voice change while she's babbling like an Indian. She'll come and take my hand and put it on her mouth to make me do it. It's so cute! :

  • Alex loves splashing the dog's water dish.

He also will go get her toys and then hand them to her. She takes them and runs off and he follows.
