Amazon Registry?

Has anyone done a registry on Amazon?  We have a lot of family and friends who live all over the country so I was thinking this might be a good option, plus they seem to have a good variety of stuff.

 Did you think their registry system was good?  Any particular problems?

Thinking I would also register at Babies r us so that folks who want to go to an actual store can do that too

 Appreciate any advice/thoughts!

    I think registering at Amazon is a great idea.  I'm curious how their return policy works if you get duplicates or change your mind about something.  Just a thought.

    I registered at Amazon and Babies R Us. I had the same idea of people who wanted to go to a store and those (like me) who prefer shopping online. Some of the larger items are at BRU, but we are cloth diapering and Amazon has a great and cheap selection for different products.

    I'm registered at Amazon, BRU, and Target.  The Amazon registry is the only one that hasn't given me headaches.  Plus, the prices are consistently MUCH lower than BRU or Target.

    Yep!  I did.  I'm active duty so I have friends and family everywhere so Amazon was a good idea.  BRU is still my biggest registry but I have a few cute and essential snags on Amazon. 

    I like their categories and helpful necessity ideas.  It was pretty helpful.

    My family tends to really rely on a registry, so I made 2. One at BRU, one at Amazon. I love that Amazon has a lot of the more alternative things that I wanted (cloth diapers, reusable diaper pail liners, diaper bags that aren't made out of cheap crap, etc), and their prices are great. BRU is just the only actual store nearby, and I have some older family that can't handle shopping online. I didn't really register for clothes or anything like that, I figured all baby clothes are cute and I'd rather see what people picked. I also have some crafty family members that usually make things. I registered for my large items too, because lots of places do those registry completion deals, and I figured if I can get it for cheaper by putting it on the registry, then hey, why not?

    I started out with just a Baby's R us registry, but I'm a frequent amazon shopper, and once I noticed the price difference of some of the larger items I thought I would feel terrible if one of my friends paid $50 more to purchase a swing at BRU rather then getting it cheaper on amazon.  So then I created an Amazon one, and found a lot of the larger items to be cheaper.  Plus a lot of the stuff at BRU decor wise and bedding is really 'baby-ish looking (I know that sounds weird) I had a lot of fun adding more modern looking items on Amazon.  So now I'm using both, and people can shop where they please.

    I've actually only gotten anything I registered for from Amazon so far. I enjoyed the process of registering, and it seems to be easy enough for people to buy from it. I've had a good experience with it.

    DH encouraged me to set up an Amazon registry b/c, at least a few months ago, they were having a registry contest - if you registered for a certain # of items you were entered for a weekly $500 prize.  It was easy to set up, and it's been easy to add/remove items as I got a better idea of what I do and don't need.  Ditto on the prices - they're good.
