hives?

on our way back from cali yesterday we noticed Jarhead had what looks like hives.. i called the dr but waiting for their call back.. they're worst on his legs but also on his stomach, back, and back of his arms.. I dont see any on the top of his arms, face, or neck.. he also had a rash in this diaper area but that has gone away now...

he didn't eat anything different and we had been in cali for 10 days already so i'm thinking that didn't have anything to do with it.. he's now had 3 doses of benedryl but nothing changed..

do you have any suggestions other than the benedryl.. he doesn't seem miserable but i do seem him itching now and then.. and i dont want them to get worse...

p.s. a friend mentioned it might be rosiola? but he doesn't have a fever...
