XP: Toy suggestion for big sister gift for 3 year old?

I posted this on the pre-school board because I am looking for something intended for kids >3, but I have seen great toy/play ideas on here so thought I would cross post.

We are expecting baby #2 any day/week now and I want to get DD something as a big sister gift. She has an excellent imagination and I am looking for something to indulge her imagination, but money is tight given baby #2's upcoming arrival and my upcoming partially unpaid maternity leave! I saw a Littlest Pet Shop set at Target and wondered how those were (she doesnt have anything like that). We already have a toy kitchen, but not a doll house, but I'd prefer to wait on a doll house until a time when I can afford to get something nicer than what I'm willing to spend right now. And I'm not looking for anything electronic really, because we have an iPad which I'm sure she will be using more than I'd prefer once I am home with baby and her : )

Price wise- I'm looking to keep it under 40.

BFP 8/1/10, missed m/c, D&C 9/15/10.
BFP 1/8/11, chemical pregnancy.
BFP 3/4/11, measured behind all along, no more HB 4/18/11. D&C 4/29/11. HCG didn't drop, Repeat D&C 6/17/11; confirmed molar pregnancy 6/23/11.
Forced break, including two Hysteroscopies in October to remove retained tissue.
BFP 12/29/11! Betas @ 10 dpo = 85, 14 dpo= 498, 22 dpo = 7242
Heard HB 1/24/12. 144 bpm!

    We got Callum a kid's camera when Eleanor was born - he loves to take pictures so that seemed like a good option ;)

    That's super cute. It just occured to me that maybe a play farm would be cute too! She loves any pretend animal, but we don't have a farm for them.

    We got DS a Mr. Potato Head. We wanted something that would keep him busy. I love the idea of a kid camera, though, but just to warn you, the photos that most of them take are absolutely atrocious. I haven't bought one for my DS because I wanted one where the pictures could actually turn out semi-decent. I think we are just going to get him a cheap second-hand digital camera from a pawn shop or a yard sale.
