Black tie in NYC?

Hey all,

DH and I just RSVPed to a wedding that is in about a month. It's an evening black tie wedding in NYC. Normally, I'd be psyched...but I'm going to be around 26 weeks pregnant by then with twins. My question is, black tie in NYC probably means a floor length gown, right? I figured I'd ask the local experts!

    I'd not consider myself an expert...but yes, black tie means long gown.

    Not necessarily...you could definitely wear cocktail length dress in a fancy fabric and dress it up with jewelry.
