Well, apparently doctors are all over the place with this. My doctor told me CD1 is any sign of blood... the first spot. Some I have seen told by their doctors that FLOW is CD1. Why is this not a universal thing??
My doctor says first day of normal FLOW... Good luck!
TTC since 9/10 - Me: 29 DH: 33

My dr. & nurses say CD1 is my first "real" flow. I agree with this because it gives me cycle lengths in the "normal" range of 28 days which I also had as a teen. If I went by spotting which is only a new thing for me in the last year, my cycles would be too "long".
ETA- I dont understand either why this isnt universal!
Mama of 1: who did not grow below my heart, but certainly a big place in it!!

This is true, my cycle with spotting is wayyyyy long! Like 9 day periods, without it was exactly 31 days. I just don't get why it's not a 100% answer, it makes things so hard. I have to take Clomid on CD3 and feel so uncomfortable with CD3 with spotting or CD3 full flow, they say spotting, everyone else says flow. -_- They make it difficult.
Mine says red flow, not spotting. In fact, before one of my Clomid cycles, I called and told him I was spotting. He said I should wait until it was more than just spotting before calling it CD1 (to track when CD5 would be to start Clomid).
Mine says red flow, specifically. I called once when I was spotting, knowing it would change over that afternoon, but they wanted me to wait until it happened. So much for getting that call in on my lunch hour.

Haha, I've seen 5pm, never 9pm - I think the timing cut off is weird in general.
