I started having random contractions around 7:30 pm and by 11 they were 3 minutes apart. I called my midwife and she said to head to the hospital...super. DH didn't get off work until midnight so he came right home, picked DD and I up and we headed to triage. They checked me when I got in and I wasn't dialated but my contractions were still 3 minutes apart. They checked a about an hour later and I was at 1 cm. So they decided to give me the steroid injections to help mature the baby's lung just incase she decided to come this early. They checked me again several hours later with no change thankfully
so around 7am saturday morning even though I was still having contraction. I went back in saturday night to get the second shot. So at least those horrible things are over with.
My midwife suggested having help around the house and with DD. So my mom is coming in to help out. Which is nice but she'll stress me out too, lol but I'll just have to deal
If I can keep this LO in for ten more weeks I'll be thrilled.

How scary!
Stay in there a while longer LO!
Scary! Glad your LO is still in there?
I'm curious because I had a scary L&D visit due to contractions weekend before last.......did they give you meds to stop the contractions? if so, are they having you continue those meds at home? I got meds in the hospital, which finally stopped the contractions...but wasn't given anything to take at home, so I'm wondering what's keeping the contractions from coming back. I couldn't feel most of them in the first place, so I'm paranoid they may still be happening and I not know it.

I'm sorry you had to make that trip too! No they didn't give me any meds to stop the contractions. They did when I went into labor with DD at 30 weeks and I had some reactions to the medications that they had to combat and I spent three days in the hospital with her. With this LO they decided not to go that route again and just waited to see if the contractions were causing any more dialation. They weren't thankfully but they felt it was okay to send me home and just said to come back if the contractions picked up. I'm still having them but they are pretty random and seem to be mostly at night. The same thing happened with DD also. I had nonstop contractions with DD for 30 weeks on. I really hope this time they aren't so constant, that really drained me
My midwife also had me start taking a calcium magnesium supplement twice a day. In my experience if they start feeling pinchy then you should probably be seen. But regardless if you're worried then it is totally okay to call or go in, after all it's your baby. I hope you start feeling better!
