WWIFVD? Fresh IVF vs FET

Assuming IVF #2 is a BFN WWIFVD?

We have 1 frosty from this cycle stored @ my RE's old practice (she moved in the midst of this IVF). While I'm tempted to just use it & then assuming that also doesn't work move on to follow my RE to her new practice all I can hear in my head is "save it for later". I'm 33, so not AMA but given we're past the 4 year TTC mark & my issues likely being egg related I'm thinking saving an embryo from when I was younger should God forbid we're still here in a year TTC. Regardless of whether we do IVF or FET we'd be waiting a cycle or 2 to recoup financially.

Any & all feedback is appreciated.

for me it would depend on the quality of the embryo. We are doing a sFET today with our last remaining embryo, but it has the highest grade my clinic gives. If it were mediocre, I'd probably do a fresh cycle and save it for now.

I hope it's just too early for you, though

I hope you are just too early but if not, I would do a fresh cycle if you would like more than one kid. If you used the you have and it works, great but you'd be that much older trying again later for a second. Hang in there!!

That's where my concern comes in. If this IVF works I'll be 34 when I'm due & if we tried for more kids (unsure @ this point) I'd be @ least 35 when that happened (if we only waited not even a year).

I would probably go for it and use it, but we are OOP and I would do anything to avoid another full fresh cycle if I can.

I agree with Gregermis. If it is great quality, I would use it now. If it is so-so, I would move on to another fresh cycle. I also have a tendency to think about the long-term future, but in general, I think it is best to base decisions on the present since the first and immediate goal is a healthy baby now.

If it is a day 5 high quality blast I would use it first, if not, I would do fresh. I hope you get a surprise though hon. ((hugs))
