Back from vaca with PgAL brain - a vent

Hello ladies! Welcome to all who have intro'd over the past week!
We had 2 weddings in Massachusetts a week apart (one for DHs cousin, one for my cousin). We decided to make a family vacation out of it, rather than a) attend one wedding and skip the other or b) drive up from DC separately for each one.
We had a great time, visited Boston, Cape Cod, and Newport, RI. We got to see tons of family and friends, and managed to pretend to drink wine at every event.
I realized about halfway through the week that my pregnancy symptoms had mysteriously vanished--no more sore boobs and nausea absent. I'm trying not to totally freak out, but I am dreading my u/s on Wednesday. Maybe it's just some kind of defense mechanism to protect myself from the worst case scenario.
I know we have all been here at one point or another, so there is no point to this. Just a rant/vent to air out all of my feelings and hopefully get past them for another few days.

Glad you had a great vacation. What part of the Cape did you visit?
I hear you an the PgAL brain thing. I've also got as u/s appointment on Wed and I am kind of dreading it, since this is typically the point where we got "bad news" in the past. FX that we both have a good experience on Wednesday.

I know you know that symptoms can come and go, get worse and get better...but it's certainly not easy to believe when it's your symptoms that aren't in overdrive. And I think you're totally right; you are probably keeping yourself as detached as possible to protect yourself. We all do it! Hang in there, wishing you tons of luck for a terrific and reassuring u/s.

Just over the bridge. We went to Scusset beach (the water was freezing!!) and had lunch in Bourne.
Sounds nice (except for the water!). We were in Orleans a few weeks ago and the bay side (Skaket Beach) had nice water but the ocean side (Nauset Beach) was a bit chilly.
