end up with a football team!
When we first tried to start the process in July 2010, we were looking to adopt one child. They advised us to wait a year, since we had a 4 week old son.
So in April 2011 we went back to a DCF informational meeting and decided we wanted to adopt 2 kids at once so siblings wouldn't be seperated.
Fastforward to now, when DCF is finally getting around to do our homestudy. We are filling out the last of the paperwork, where we have to indicate how many children we are willing to take, and my husband says, "Well if they called us about three siblings, I wouldn't say no."
I love kids and feel that life will lead us to those who are meant to be with us, but let's hope this process doesn't take too much longer or we may end up with the sibling group of 7 I found on AdoptUsKids!
Re: If this process takes much longer, we may....
OMG - I say the same thing all the time about getting a BIG sibling group! We too have our home study for 2 or possibly 3 siblings because we don't want the children to be separated - like I was from my siblings when I was adopted.
Good luck and best wishes!!!
