But still feeling the effects of withdrawal :-/ but I'm done!!!!
A couple of months back (march?) I posted about withdrawing from my depression meds (Lexapro) in order to start TTC, but I ended up going back on it. We decided to wait a little longer for TTC, and I decided there was no reason to go through the unexpectedly difficult withdrawal during the school year (I'm a teacher). The good news is that since I waited till the summer to do it, I had had plenty of time to do a ton of research on natural and holistic things that I could do for myself now, during and after the pregnancy. I will say this: this is a crazy drug to come off of. I tapered down to practically nothing and STILL feel the awful effects. Apparently Lexapro is one of the worst ones to come off of. It completely sucks, but I feel very fortunate that the other stuff I am doing is working so well for me. I am kind of nervous about how I will be once school starts and all the extra added stress is there, but I'm really thinking I can do it because I feel so well.
Just for a little background, this is the fourth time since I was 20 that I have tried to go off meds (I'm 33) and it is the only time I have been successful.
Anyone else ever have to do this (go off meds)?
