and S is loving eating at the table with us. But I wondered - for those of you who have kiddos in a booster - what do you put down on the table where s/he eats? We've just used one of our regular placemats, but I don't have enough placemats/time to do laundry for 3 placemats per day, I don't really want to put down a vinyl tablecloth, either.
What do you do to keep things tidier for at-the-table eaters?

Re: Finally retired the high chair! + a cleaning question
Ha ha, you parents with girls!
This is what we do. If I put a plate or placemat there, he would just throw it on the floor along with the food. If I put the food on the table, he will eat it most of the time.
Totally agree that this is parents with girls talking, who aren't as messy as my guy! (though he doesn't throw food, just spills it, so I guess I'm lucky there!)
In our old apartment, I would have pulled him up directly to the table of our breakfast nook, but now, we don't have room for a kitchen table in the kitchen, just a dining room . Our dining room table shows fingerprints, water marks, etc. very easily. Maybe it's time to troll craigslist for a replacement, but since we have so many other things to get for the new house, a cheap placemat may be the best idea.
I just died a little from the cuteness.

Ahh, thanks! Yep, he's super cute when he does it, making the little mouth motions like each animal is eating.
