motorolla or summer infant monitor?

seems like all these monitors get good and bad reviews. we had a summer infant with LO#1 that broke after less than a year. Trying to decide whether to just get another one for LO #2 or try the motorolla . . .

    Everywhere I've seen reviews or comments, the Motorola wins hands down. Here, Amazon, the Babies R Us website, etc. So that's what we got. I can't give a review of my own because we haven't taken it out of the box yet!

    I personally won't be buying Summer Infant again.  Ours stopped working twice in the first year and their customer service was TERRIBLE to say the least.
    DS (7 years old) from FET in 2010
    DD (5 years old) from IUI in 2012

    I have the Motorolla 3.5 inch screen video monitor and ave been using it for about 3 weeks now and I love it! Don't know much about the summer infant one but I picked the Motorolla one because of good reviews and I honestly would  recommend it.

    We got a Summer Infant one and I kinda hate it. It does the job but it is annoying - so much static and popping. And you cannot add a camera.

    I am planning on getting this motorolla one. It isn't the biggest screen but that one is pricey. And the reviews are the highest out of all of them. HTH.

    i've heard not so good things of the customer service of Summer Infant.. and love the 3.5inch screen Motorola video monitor.. most of my friends have this and love theirs!

    I'm going to be in the minority here, but I love our Summer Infant Best View. It still works perfectly after 2 years. And from what I've heard, their customer service is amazing.

    Another vote for the the Motorola.  We have the 3.5" screen and love it.  Have 2 cameras and haven't had any issues with it.

    We have the 3.5" Motorola and I absolutely love it.  We have been using it for almost 4 months without any issues.

    I wouldn't buy our Summer Infant again (Slim and Secure).  Most that I have heard (as on here) that have the Motorola seem to really like it.

    We have the Motorola 3.5" and absolutely love it!  I can zoom in and actually see her breathing, it is so clear with the night vision.  Definitely recommend it!
