8 days after our due date, and four weeks of prodomal labour, and she has arrived!!! I'm typing a quick update from my phone, just an hour after arriving home, so excuse my dopey typing!!
Labour was amazing. Started at home got to 3 cm there. Contractions hurt so bad I couldn't stop crying so we went to the hospital. Labored there till I got to 5 cm then they gave me an epidural. Got to 6 cm four hours later, but Chloe was a little distressed with a high heart rate 175 for 80 minutes and she was not dropping into my pelvis. Too big. So they had to do an c section. I cried, really didn't want one, I wanted to push out the girl id been holding inside of me all these months! But the Lord had a plan for me and I had no choice but to submit everything to him as my worst fear for the whole pregnancy was realized. Not only did I need a c section but I wasn't taking the epidural well. It wore off quickly and one area would not accept the drug.... So the surgery felt a little more... Uncomfortable than normal. But it was either that or they would put me under and My husband couldn't even be in the room. So I decided to feel the feelings and let God do what He does best, and He did. Little Chloe was born half an hour later kicking and crying. DH cut the umbilical cord and I got skin to akin time with her while they stitched me up. DH got to hold her foralmost two hours while I was in recovery. Then they let me go to him and Chloe and we spent some amazing time together. An amazing miracle of life, I can't imagine anything more astounding. I cry thinking about it, the birth, Chloe, and our family of three. We Are so so so blessed it boggles my mind!! We are all healthy and happily settling in at home now, nothing could be better. :
PS by big I mean 10 lbs 3.5 ounces and just short of 24 inches long. Yeah. So big. The surgeons were takin guesses during the surgery as to how big she was haha it was funny. The section, was really not that bad, even though I had more than the usual amount of sensation. To all those who have upcoming sections booked, not to worry. Mine was very uncommon and still wasn't bad! I was humming songs to distract myself, DH and I were laughing through it, and the doctors and nurses were laughing with us. Ha. Good times. Weird to think about a surgery being good times. But really, no matter how your baby arrives, YOUR BABY ARRIVES!!!! And nothing could be better. :.
Congrats to all mamas, and blessings prayers and calm minds to future mamas :
I'll post a pic when I figure out how from my phone!

Congrats and wow, big baby! I can't wait to see pics! I love her name.
It's so interesting to hear different c-section stories. I didn't get to do skin to skin right away like you did but they wheeled me into my room directly after stitching me up.

Wow, what a big, healthy girl! I can't wait to see pictures!
I had to be induced, got to a full 10 cm, and had to have an emergency c-section because my baby wasn't dropping into my pelvis as well. My girl was only 8.8, but I know what you mean being a little heart broken that you don't get to experience vaginal birth. Congrats to you!
Congratulations! Can't wait to see a pic of your baby girl! In the end she is there with you and your family and that is all that mattered! Way to hang in there.
Holy big healthy baby girl!!! Great job laboring as long as was safe for you both mama
I hope your recovery goes smoothly, and I can't wait to see a pic your sweet LO.
And, (((HUGS))) on feeling more than you should have for your c/s. I had a similar experience with my c/s with DD. Only one side was numbed by the epi, so I felt everything on the side that wasn't numb... Horrifying, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat if needed so I could be awake for LO's birth.
