headaches?

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and yesterday I had a horrible, nagging headache.  It is slightly back today and the only thing that has helped is a cold washcloth and laying down in a dark room.  I've never had headaches before, I have not taken Tylenol for it either.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks:)

Re: headaches?

  • Try tylenol with a coke (or something with caffeine) to see if that helps. Tylenol is safe during pregnancy. When I have one that won't go away I go to the chiropractor.

  • Do you take Zofran? That can cause headaches. Anyway, I 2nd what PP suggested. Good luck!

  • I do not take Zofran.  I had a coke and Tylenol earlier, but the headache is still lingering.  It got a little better, but it is coming back.  Thanks for the advice.
  • I've been getting awful headaches and Tylenol does help. A coke will help too, but make sure you are drinking plenty of water. I have also noticed that the headaches come when it's been a few hours since I've eaten. I'm not sure if they are "officially" associated with low blood sugar, but just something I've noticed with mine.

  • Do you drink coffee? I know people freak out about coffee but i have had migraines everyday lately.. a SMALL cup of coffee does the trick! if you read online it does say 1-2 cups a day is fine.. I had a headache this morning.. came to work and had a small cup and it is gone.. thank goodness.. I tried tylenol and it doesnt work for me..

    Hopefully you find the trick!

  • I've been having brutal headaches as well. I've found that peppermint oil in a diffuser helps. Also, take the tylenol. You don't need much. A chiro adjustment helped me immensely.
