those who had tubes tied

So, I gave birth to DD 5/29 and had my doctor tie my tubes since it was a scheduled c/s. Lately, I've been getting really hot, like I did when pg. On a whim, I Googled tubes tied and menopause. Apparently there is a possibilty of it happening after the surgery. I have not had a period since either and am not BF so I'd think Aunt Flo would have stopped by by now.

Anyone have any experience like this? If I don't get my period in the next month or so, I think I"m calling my doctor to have a blood test done to see if I've crossed the point of no return into peri/menopause land and if I should look into hormones or anything.

    I had my tubes tied after DD was born. I got really hot for a while too. I would also have major night sweats. It got better after a couple of months. I think that I got AF 6-8 weeks PP (I didn't breast feed either and only pumped for a few weeks).

    I've had hot flashes/night sweats after all three of mine and only of course got my tubes tied this last time. It's a very common postpartum hormone thing.

    I don't have my tubes tied and after I had DD I was still getting hot flashes for several months.

    Thanks ladies! I didn't remember that happening after having DS. Of course everything was so surreal after he was born. It was like I was in shock for a month or so. He was also born in December, so if I did have the hot flashes, maybe I just didn't notice since they were probably welcome at that point.

    I didn't have my tubes tied but I got hot flashes for months after I had DD. OB said it was normal and my body was trying to adjust and get back to normal. I would shower at night and have to shower again in the morning b/c of how much I would sweat at night

    My friend actually experienced many hormone issues after getting her tubes tied. She really regrets it now. Her doctor had to put her on hormones because her body was showing signs of menopause at age 27.

    Though your symptoms are common it never hurts to get a check up to see what may be going on! Good luck!!

    I had my tubes tied. I do remember getting night sweats, but I don't get them anymore. I just figured it was PP hormones and BFing. 

    I've been having regular periods since around 8 weeks PP though (I've always been pretty regular).
