so over first stage labor

i've been having 5 min long contractions 7-15 minutes apart for 3 days straight now. i've only had a few nice strong "real" feeling contractions. so ready to be in active 2nd stage labor or just have my water break already.

i went for a walk this morning, the contractions got nice and strong and about 6-7 minutes apart. came home, took a shower and they slowed right back down.

Oh and just found out this morning that MIL, FIL and SMIL all forgot to get their whooping cough vaccines. MIL works in hospitality at a large conference center where they have a ton of conferences... she's around people constantly. its the only random thing i've asked of anyone as we have a lot of cases here in CA. i'm glad i though to ask today before baby gets here.

ok, that's it. i really hope i'm just hormonal and cranky and that's why this is all rubbing me the wrong way today. I know baby will get here when she feel like it.

At least you're feeling something? I'm past my due date and still nothing. I know that doesn't help you at all, but at least you're on your way and your body is doin something! I'm jealous!

5 min long contractions? I hadn't heard of that. Maybe I am reading it wrong.

the ones for active labor last 60-90 secconds, early stages can be longer but less intense. i've had Braxton Hicks/light contractions that last anywhere from 5-15 minutes long. Asked the OB, she said it was normal and just keep track until they get more intense and shorter...
