M/C ?

I don't mean to be insensitive, but.... When we first joined this board were there a lot of M/C that happened? On my March 2013 board there seem to be A LOT. :

I know I didn't really join until I was about 9 Weeks because my due date got moved up, so I wonder if I just missed a lot of it. The posts just make me more nervous. : probably just cementing in that it IS something that can happen. :

i read somewhere that 20% of pregnancies end in miscarriages. so it wouldn't be surprising to me to hear that women are reporting so many. with early testing nowadays, i think many women who would have formerly just been "late" now see a BFP and then m/c.

My EDD was June 3 so I probably saw them all. I remember being really nervous reading all those posts. I am also on March 2013 (just haven't bothere adding a ticker yet) and am getting a little concerned. Last time I had my first U/S at 6 weeks, but this time I don't have one until next Friday at 10 weeks 2 days.

I don't have my first appt until August 30th.. I'll be 10 Weeks 4 days. I hate waiting this long and seeing all the losses.... Glad I'm not the only one super nervous! I just don't have the nerve to say over there that all their messages are scaring the crap out of me! I know, I know.. I choose to read them.:

I remember there being quite a few chemical pregnancies, and a few that miscarried around the first appointment.

I agree with pp, though. Many woman on TB are charting and get super early BFPs then miscarry at the point when they would only be a couple days late when many woman wouldn't have even had the opportunity to realize they were pregnant.

Yes! The big difference for me with my new group is seeing how many late term losses this time. I am on the FB Nov board and there are roughly 300 woman. We have had 4 losses past 20 weeks, 1 due to placenta abruption, 1 due to cord strangulation, 1 due to complications from downs, and the 4th was just last week so she has not shared with us what happened. Another girl delivered her daugther at 23w6d and she has been doing well as a micro-preemie....

Then I think bank and realize that we went through it as well.

I also think that being that the month boards are ALL pregnant women, you hear more than you would if it was just a few friends IRL. I also remember quite a few in the beginning on this board.

LaRue- it seems to me the ladies on Nov FB group are kept totally separate from TB. It kinda seems like the FB group may be closer than TB ladies, as I cannot recall any m/c except for maybe a few during 1st tri... I was going to say the exact opposite, and that I thought Nov '12 hasn't had many m/c at all. I actually learned a lady had her baby early, and 2 m/c from THIS board- and I thought that was really strange.

Im sad to hear that there has been more late-losses... BUT Im glad to hear that the lady that had her baby, is doing well- I was thinking of her baby the other day, as I haven't heard anything. Do they know what sent her into labor so early?
