Hi!
I'm planning a baby shower for my best friend who lives in Orlando, but I'm not from the area. I thought about hiring a party planner but it seems so over the top. Can you recommend a location for @ 20 people? The areas she recommended are Dr. Phillips and Winter Garden. She lives in Windermere but said it would be hard to find an affordable location there.
TIA!
Re: Baby shower location- help!
I was hoping someone around the Orlando area would have responded by now. Unfortunately, I can't help. I live near Melbourne, FL. I am just writing to let you know someone had seen your message.

Hi Tia~
I live in Dr Phillips and have been thinking about your question... Dr. Phillips has quite a few churches, that might be your best bet for value. We also have a community center, do a search under the Dr. P Phillips Community Center and see if they will rent out to groups. There is also a Woodhouse Spa and lots of restaurants in the area.... just cannot think of a great place that would be a perfect fit for your group (and I am an event planner for a non-profit). Let me know if you need anything else or have any questions at all~

One of our favorite restaurants is Seasons 52 in Dr. Phillips. They have a semi-private room overlooking the lake and you can reserve it for lunch. We had our sons baptism in the room and it was wonderful. The food is delicious and they were very accommodating.

Thanks so much! She actually had her bridal shower at Seasons 52 and it was fabulous! I'm looking for the same type of location. I'm almost tempted to do it there, too, but it seems kind of lame to have both in the same spot (she was married less than a year ago).
I'll check out some of the places mentioned above. Any more ideas, keep 'em coming!
