So I live in a tiny house and my big lab barks when someone walks by or even worse, when someone comes onto our porch. this always wakes Owen. this has been happening a lot lately with the voting season and a lot of soliciting going on. minutes after Owen fell asleep someone knocks at the door with Obama flyers. I held the dog back and explained that I couldn't talk, I had a sleeping baby and she could leave literature at the door. I heard her saying, as she walked off of my porch, "this is more important than a sleeping baby". so I yelled F*ck you from my front window...loud and clear! I don't care if Obama himself was at my door, YOU DON'T WAKE A SLEEPING BABY! I'm not sorry for what I said (i do feel a little trashy) but I'm not sorry. she heard me and kept walking. after calming down the dog, I went out and threw the literature in the trash. they watched me from down the street. F 'em.

    Good for you!! We put a piece of electrical tape over our doorbell after C was born and people still pressed it. We finally just disconnected it. We live in a small bungalow, it's not as if we can't hear a knock.

    You go! Can you get a no solicitor sign? I hate the look of them but have been thinking about getting one. We live in a developing neighborhood and constantly have people trying to get us to switch everything. I don't like to answer the door unless I know who it is when my H isn't home.

    We have a No Solicitors sticker on our front door. It doesn't stop anyone. The first thing they always say is "oh but were not selling anything were spreading information ....". I think its awesome what you did.

    Omg! This is amazing. 

    You should put a sign out, even if it's just for a few more months. Soon dog barking and knocking wont wake him. 

    I had a sign in Texas that said "there's only one way to find out of my dog bites" we lived in a nice area, but then people started moving after their kids graduated and rented out their houses, so it was a little sketchy after that.

    EPIC WIN!!! I go through the same here but here the use music... AT 8PM!!!! My hubby always look if I'm still with Matt cuz he knows that I go out and tell them... a couple of things _

    I feel your pain. We've had this same issue alot and my dogs freak out. I can't believe the person had the nerve to tell you her issue was more important than your sleeping baby. What an a-hole.
