Lol! I can't resist that offer .
For the past few weeks I would put their hands around the bottle when I gave it to them, eventually they started grabbing for it and slowly got better at holding it.

I really, really should work on this with my kiddos.

I'm going to start putting their hands on it tonight. they will put their hands on it but not consistently and they don't get the whole tilting the bottle concept. you've inspired me to make a greater effort to get them to hold their own bottles. Good job mama.
Funny the things we MOMs get excited about. :0

I was pretty happy when DD did that, I can only imagine the joy felt when twins figure it out. We found the Avent handles did well teaching DD that task.
I really need to be braver about letting them try to do this stuff on their own. They have been grabbing for the bottles for a while but they keep holding it down too far and sucking air. I try to tilt it for them while they hold it but they HATE that LOL! Hopefully soon...

I am so, so jealous. Mine will really only take their bottles after they've fallen asleep so needless to say they're not even close to holding their own bottles and I don't think they ever will I get so jealous when I see my sister hand my nephew a bottle and he feeds himself.

Congrats!! My boys just started doing this within the past 2 days, and although they still need a little help repositioning throughout the feeding, it's still so exciting and such a great feeling!!
