Time from first RE appointment to IUI?

I had a question I felt would be better asked over here, I'm kinda new so bare with me if it's been asked before. I couldnt find it as a duplicate anywhere. How long from your first RE consultation was your first IUI?

Since I'm using donor sperm I'll be going directly too it. PCOS but since taking metformin 6 months ago AF seems to be pretty stabilized for the most part. I'm just trying to generalize a time frame somehow.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

I think a lot will depend on what tests the RE wants done, where you are in your cycle, how long your cycles are, etc. For one point of reference though, we had our first RE appt on 6/20, and I just had my first IUI on 8/12.

This. To answer your question, though, our first RE consult was in February and IUI#1 was in May.

My first medicated cycle started about 3 weeks after my first RE appt. My diagnosis was pretty clear and my cycle was timed perfectly to be able to start as soon as results from testing came in.

I started my first medicated cycle about a week after our first appt. but, I had all my testing done with my OB- HSG, CD 3 b/w, an ultrasound, etc.... So we were ready to go when we walked into the RE's office.

I had my first RE appt on 6/8 and due to where I was in my cycle we had to wait for my next cycle to do more testing (HSG, CD3 BW & US). Now I am waiting for my new cycle to start so that I can do my IUI sometime late August I hope.

Hi,

DH & I had our first RE consult in Jan and we didn't have our first IUI until June. I have PCOS as well and I had to have more test done and DH was traveling overseas for work. It differs for everyone! Good luck

I had to get a MMR vaccine before I could proceed with IUI and that required one cycle of TTA. So for me it was about 2 months. If not for the MMR vaccine, it would have been 1. Expect 1 full cycle of testing, plus the partial cycle you're on currently, then an IUI cycle. Good luck!

Our first RE appointment was in March (I think). Still no IUI plans or IVF plans. The wait sucks, I wish we could get going already!
